A young man named Eutychus was sitting in a window. As Paul talked on and on, he started falling asleep. Once he was sound asleep, he fell from the third floor. When they picked him up from the ground, they found he was dead.

If he comes unexpectedly, don’t let him find you sleeping.

Then some Jews came from Antioch and Iconium and won the crowd over to their side. They threw stones at Paul and then dragged him out of the city, thinking he was dead.

The spirit screamed and shook the boy wildly, then it came out of him. The boy looked so lifeless that many people said, “He’s dead.”

On the first day of the week we met with the believers to share a meal. Paul spoke to the people, and because he was planning to leave the next day, he kept on talking until midnight.

There were many lamps in the room upstairs where we were meeting.

But Paul went down and threw himself on the young man, putting his arms around him. “Don’t worry,” he said. “He’s alive!”
