So he went to the synagogue and talked both with Jews and with Greeks who worshiped God. Each day he also spoke with anyone who happened to be in the marketplace.
At Iconium, Paul and Barnabas went into the Jewish synagogue, as they usually did. They spoke there with great power, and large numbers of Jews and Greeks became believers.
They arranged to meet with Paul on a certain day. When it came, even more of the Jewish leaders went to the place where he was staying. From morning until evening, he told them about the kingdom of God. He used the Law of Moses and the Prophets to try to convince them about Jesus.
“I’ve spoken openly to the world,” Jesus answered. “I’ve always taught in synagogues or at the temple, where all the Jews come together. I haven’t said anything in secret.
Paul talked about how to live a godly life, about how people should control themselves, and about the time when God will judge everyone. This made Felix afraid. He said, “That’s enough for now! You may go, but when I find the time, I’ll send for you again.”
From Perga they went on to another city named Antioch, the one in the region of Pisidia. On the Sabbath day they entered the synagogue there and sat down.
The Son of Man will go just as it is written about him, but woe to the one who hands him over! It would have been better for him if he he’d never been born.”
