So he went to the synagogue and talked both with Jews and with Greeks who worshiped God. Each day he also spoke with anyone who happened to be in the marketplace.

Paul stood up and started speaking and gesturing with his hands, and he said, “Fellow Israelites and you Gentiles who worship God, listen to me!

He began right away to preach in the synagogues that Jesus is the Son of God.

What you’ve said in the dark will be heard in the daylight; what you’ve whispered behind closed doors will be shouted from the rooftops.

But then he said to them, “Go everywhere in the world and preach the good news to the whole creation.

They’ll pretend that they’re serving God, but they won’t believe that God has any power. Don’t have anything to do with people like that.

People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, braggers, proud, abusive, and disobedient to their parents. They won’t be thankful or holy,

He and all his family believed in God, and they worshiped at the synagogue. He gave freely to people who were in need, and he prayed to God regularly.

Godly people buried Stephen and mourned deeply for him.

But the Jewish leaders stirred up some important Gentile women who attended the synagogue. They also stirred up some men who were leaders in the city. They got all these people to oppose and attack Paul and Barnabas, and they threw the two men out of that area. But
