The synagogue leader Crispus and everyone living in his house came to believe in the Lord. Many others who lived in Corinth heard Paul, and they too believed and were baptized.
But Scripture has locked up everything under the control of sin, so that what was promised could be given through faith in Jesus Christ to those who believe.

When the first handful of dough is offered to God, this shows that all of the dough belongs to him. If the root of a tree belongs to God, then so do the branches that grow from it.
