Demons also came out of many people, shouting, “You are the Son of God!” But he commanded them to be quiet, and he didn’t allow them to speak, because they knew he was the Messiah.
Some Jews who went around driving out evil spirits tried to use the name of the Lord Jesus to set free those who were controlled by demons. They said, “In the name of the Jesus that Paul is preaching about, I command you to come out.”
When Priscilla and Aquila heard him speaking boldly in the synagogue, they invited him to their home. There they gave him a fuller understanding of the way of God.
So the spies questioned Jesus. “Teacher,” they said, “we know that you speak and teach what is right. We know you don’t favor one person over another. You teach the way of God truthfully.

They sent their disciples to him with some of the Herodians. “Teacher,” they said, “we know that you’re a man of integrity and that you teach the way of God truthfully. You don’t let others influence what you do or say, no matter how important they are.
When he saw Jesus, he cried out and fell at his feet. He shouted at the top of his voice, “Jesus, Son of the Most High God, what do you want with me? I beg you, don’t torture me!”
