and he has now kept them for us, their children, by raising up Jesus. This is what is written in the second Psalm: “ ‘You are my son; today I have become your father.’
In the same way, Christ didn’t claim for himself the privilege of becoming a high priest. But God said to him, “You are my Son, today I have become your Father.”
God raised Jesus from the dead so he would never rot in the grave. As God has said, “ ‘I will give you the holy and sure blessings that were promised to David.’
