If one part suffers, every part suffers with it. If one part is honored, every part shares in its joy.

So confess your sins to one another and pray for one another so that you will be healed. The prayer of a godly person is very powerful, and great things happen because of it.

especially as you help us by praying for us. Then many people will give thanks to God for the kindness he has shown us in answer to many people’s prayers.

“Again, I tell you truly, if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, my Father in heaven will do it for you.

Keep on remembering those in prison as if you were together with them in prison, and continue to remember those who are being treated badly as if you yourselves were suffering.

Now that Peter understood what was going on, he went to the house of Mary, the mother of John Mark. Many people had gathered in her home to pray there.

Then Jesus told his disciples a story to show them that they should always pray and not give up.

He put Peter in prison and had him guarded by four groups of four soldiers each. Herod was planning to bring him out for a public trial after the Passover Feast.

The night before Herod was going to put him on trial, Peter was sleeping between two soldiers, bound with two chains. Lookouts were posted at the entrance to the prison.
