“You’re out of your mind,” they responded. But she kept insisting it was true. So they decided, “It must be his angel.”
“Make sure you don’t look down on one of these little ones. I tell you, their angels in heaven see face to face my Father who is in heaven.
At this point Festus interrupted Paul’s speech. “You’re out of your mind, Paul!” he shouted. “Your great learning is making you crazy!”
But the apostles didn’t believe the women, because their words didn’t make any sense to them.
Later Jesus appeared to the 11 disciples as they were eating. He had strong words for them for being so unbelieving and hard-hearted. He told them they should have believed the people who’d seen him after he rose from the dead.
When they heard that Jesus was alive and that she’d seen him, they didn’t believe it.
About an hour later, another person spoke up. “This fellow must have been with Jesus, because he has a Galilean accent.”
Meanwhile Peter kept on knocking. When they opened the door and saw him, they were amazed.
