And we urge you, brothers and sisters, to warn certain people who don’t want to work and who are being disruptive. Encourage those who have lost hope, help those who are weak, and be patient with everyone.

These are the things you should teach. Encourage and correct people with full authority. Don’t let anyone despise you.

Until I come, I want you to concentrate on reading Scripture publicly and on encouraging and teaching others.

‘I warn and correct those I love. So be eager to do what’s right and turn away from your sins.

That saying is true. I want you to correct these false teachers forcefully, so that they’ll understand the faith properly

If someone stays away from dirty things, then they’ll be available for special purposes. They’ll stand out as different, and the Master will be able to use them for anything.

But those who are taught the word should share all good things with their teacher.

Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, and faithful in prayer.

But you know all about my teaching, my way of life, and my purpose, faith, love, and endurance.

But elders who are sinning should be corrected in front of everyone else, as a warning to the others.

God appointed me to serve the church and bring the entire word of God to you.

And how can anyone preach to them without being sent? It is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!”

On the first day of the week we met with the believers to share a meal. Paul spoke to the people, and because he was planning to leave the next day, he kept on talking until midnight.

On the Sabbath day we went outside the city gate and walked down to the river because we expected to find a place of prayer there. We sat down and began to speak to the women who’d gathered together.

Jesus said to him, “Let those who are dead bury their own dead; you go and tell others about God’s kingdom.”

They went to Jesus and begged him, “This man deserves to have you do this,

Don’t treat prophecies as if they didn’t matter,

Blessed is anyone who does not give up their faith because of me.”

If anyone opposes them, they must correct them gently, hoping that God will give them a change of heart and lead them to know the truth.

I ask you, brothers and sisters, to listen carefully to the challenges and encouragement that I’ve offered you briefly.

When we got to Rome, Paul was allowed to live by himself with a soldier guarding him.

When they arrived at Salamis, they preached God’s word in the Jewish synagogues. John was with them as their helper.

Pray for us too. Ask God to open a door for our message so that we can preach the mystery of Christ, for which I’m being held in chains.

And you imitated both us and the Lord Jesus, because even in the midst of terrible suffering, you welcomed our message with the joy that the Holy Spirit gives.
