The Lord will save me from every evil attack, and he will bring me safely to his heavenly kingdom. May he receive glory for ever and ever. Amen.

You’re tempted in the same way that all other human beings are. And God is faithful; he won’t let you be tempted beyond what you can endure. When you are tempted, God will provide a way out, and then you’ll be able to resist.

May he receive the power for ever and ever. Amen.

May the eternal King, who will never die, who can’t be seen, and who is the only God, receive honor and glory for ever and ever. Amen.

My dear brothers and sisters, listen to me. Hasn’t God chosen those who are poor in the world’s eyes to be rich in faith? Hasn’t he chosen them to receive the kingdom that he promised to give to those who love him?

God wisely planned that the world wouldn’t be able to understand him through its own wisdom. Instead, God was happy to use the foolish things we preach to save those who believe.

Brothers and sisters, here’s what I’m telling you. Bodies made of flesh and blood can’t inherit the kingdom of God. Things that perish can’t share in what never perishes.

In the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who will judge the living and the dead, and because he and his kingdom are coming, I’m giving you these instructions:

Instead, they were longing for a better country, a heavenly one. So God isn’t ashamed to be called their God, because he has prepared a city for them.

No, you’ve come to Mount Zion, the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem. You’ve come to a place where thousands and thousands of angels have gathered to celebrate.

You’ll receive a rich welcome into the kingdom our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. His kingdom will last forever.

So grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. May he receive glory both now and forever. Amen.
