Hymenaeus and Alexander are two of those people. I’ve handed them over to Satan so that they will learn not to say insulting things about God.

And God will do what’s fair in the end by paying those who are troubling you back with trouble of their own,

Do to her what she has done to others; pay her back double for what she has done. Pour her a double dose of what she has poured out for others.

My dear friends, don’t try to get even with other people. Leave it up to God to punish them. After all, it’s written that the Lord says, “I’m the one who punishes people who do wrong, and I will pay them back.”

They called out in a loud voice, “How long, Lord and King, holy and true, will you wait to judge those who live on the earth? How long will it be until you pay them back for killing us?”

If you see any brother or sister commit a sin that doesn’t lead to death, then you should pray for them, and God will give them life. I’m talking about someone whose sin doesn’t lead to death. There is a sin that does lead to death. I’m not saying you should pray about that.

God “will pay back each person in the way they deserve for what they’ve done.”

You should watch out for him too, because he strongly opposed our message.
