God isn’t unfair. He won’t forget what you’ve done and the love you’ve shown him as you’ve helped his people and as you keep on helping them.

That’s why I’m suffering the way I am. But I’m not ashamed, because I know the one I’ve believed in and I’m certain that he’s able to protect what I’ve given him. I can trust him with it until the day he returns.

While Apollos was at Corinth, Paul took the inland road over to Ephesus. When he arrived there, he found some disciples.

Another was Joanna, the wife of Chuza, the manager of Herod’s household. A woman named Susanna and many others were also there. These women were using their own money to support Jesus and the 12 disciples.

All this will happen because our God is tender and merciful; his kindness will make the sun rise for us in the sky.

He has been merciful to our ancestors and remembered his holy covenant,

When they arrived at Ephesus, Paul asked Priscilla and Aquila to stay there. He himself went into the synagogue and talked with the Jews.

As he left, he made them a promise. “If God wants me to,” he said, “I will come back.” Then he sailed from Ephesus.

God will keep you strong to the very end, so that you will be blameless on the day he returns.

Every person’s work will be recognized for what it is, because the Day of Judgment will expose it. Everyone’s work will be put through fire to test how good it is.

It was just the opposite! When he was in Rome, he looked everywhere for me, and he finally found me.

Now there’s a crown waiting for me, the crown that’s given to those who are right with God. The Lord, who judges fairly, will give it to me on the day he returns, and not only to me, but also to all those who are longing for him to return.
