So God lets them be fooled completely, so that they’ll believe the false things they’ve been told.

They didn’t think it was important to know God, so God left them unable to discern right from wrong.

Many false prophets will appear, and they will trick many people.

The Spirit clearly says that in later times some people will abandon the faith, follow deceptive spirits, and believe things that demons teach.

We didn’t appeal to you out of error, or from wrong motives, or out of deceit.

Many people will come claiming to be me and saying, ‘I’m the Messiah!’ They’ll get many people to follow them.

The people will stop listening to the truth and they’ll turn to stories that aren’t true.
