They told you, “In the last days, some people will mock the truth. They’ll follow their own ungodly desires.”

Most of all, this is true of people who are corrupted by their wrong desires and hate to be under authority. People like that are cocky and arrogant. They’re not afraid even to insult heavenly beings.

These people follow their own evil desires. They grumble and complain about others, but they brag about themselves and praise others to get what they want.

Instead, we refuse to do secret and shameful things. We don’t trick anyone, and we don’t twist God’s word. We do just the opposite! We present the truth plainly so that everyone can judge us in their own conscience before God.

Above all, here’s what you must understand. No prophecy in Scripture ever came from a prophet’s own interpretation of things.

But I want you to know that there will be terrible times in the last days.

Dear children, we’re living in the last days. You’ve heard that the great enemy of Christ is coming, and even now many enemies of Christ have already come. That’s how we know that these are the last days.

But there is a judge for anyone who doesn’t accept me and my words. The words I’ve spoken will judge them on the last day.

But in these last days, he has spoken to us through his Son. God made the universe through him and gave him everything as his inheritance.
