Christ also suffered once for sins. Someone who did right suffered for those who did wrong, in order to bring you to God. Jesus was put to death in the body, but he was made alive in the Spirit.

Because one man did not obey, many people were made sinners. But because another man did obey, many people will be made right with God.

Christ set us free from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us. It is written, “Everyone who is hanged on a pole is under God’s curse.”

But you know that Christ came to take our sins away. And there is no sin in him.

Because of what God has done, you belong to Christ Jesus. He has become God’s wisdom for us. He makes us right with God, he makes us holy, and he sets us free.

I want to belong to him, and I want to be right with God based not on my obedience to the law but on my faith in Christ.

If anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come. The old is gone! The new is here!

We don’t have a high priest who can’t feel what we feel when we’re weak. Instead, we have a high priest who has been tempted in every way just as we are, but without sinning.

Jesus was handed over to die for our sins, and he was raised to life in order to make us right with God.

and follow the path of love. That’s what Christ did. He loved us and gave himself up for us as a sweet-smelling offering and sacrifice to God.

The good news reveals how God makes people right with himself. This happens by faith from beginning to end, just as it is written, “The one who is right with God will live by faith.”

A high priest like him truly meets our needs. He’s holy, blameless, and pure, and he has been lifted up high above the heavens. He’s different from people who sin.

You spoke against the Holy and Blameless One, and you asked for a murderer to be set free instead.

The angel answered, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you and the power of the Most High God will overshadow you, so that the holy one who is born will be called the Son of God.
