I’ll say it again: Nobody should think I’m a fool. But if you do, put up with me just as you would put up with a fool, so I can do a little bragging.

I hope you’ll put up with a little foolishness on my part. Yes, please put up with me!

Even if I did decide to brag, that wouldn’t make me a fool, because I’d be telling the truth. But I don’t brag, so that no one will think more of me than they should based on what I say and do.

I’ve made a fool of myself, but you forced me to. You should have been the ones to praise me. I’m not the least bit inferior to the “super-apostles,” even though I’m nothing.

You gladly put up with fools because you’re so wise!

If we’re out of our minds, as some people say, that’s for the sake of God. And if we’re in our right minds, that’s for your sakes.

But now I’m going to go back to bragging, even though there’s nothing to be gained by it. I’m going to talk about visions and revelations from the Lord.
