Don’t destroy the work of God for the sake of food. All food is clean. But it’s wrong to eat anything that might cause someone else to trip and fall.

With a clear conscience you can eat anything that’s sold in the meat market.

I’m convinced, because the Lord Jesus has convinced me of this, that nothing is unclean in itself. But someone may consider a thing to be unclean. If they do, it is unclean for them.

You say, “I have the right to do anything,” but not everything is helpful. “I have the right to do anything,” you say, but not everything builds us up.

We’ve already written a letter to the believers who aren’t Jews. We’ve told them not to eat food that has been offered to statues of gods, not to drink blood, not to eat meat that still has blood in it, and not to be sexually immoral.”

They don’t allow people to get married, and they order them not to eat certain foods. But God created those foods, so people who believe and know the truth should receive them and give thanks for them.

Don’t eat food that has been offered to statues of gods. Don’t drink blood. Don’t eat meat that still has blood in it. And don’t be involved in sexual immorality. You will do well to keep away from such things. Farewell.

The voice spoke to him a second time and said, “Don’t say something isn’t pure if God has made it clean.”

Whoever treats one day as different from the rest does that to honor the Lord. Whoever eats meat does that to honor the Lord, and they give thanks to God, while whoever doesn’t eat meat does that to honor the Lord, and they too give thanks to God.

Scripture says, “The earth belongs to the Lord, and so does everything in it.”

If I’ve given thanks for my food, then I shouldn’t be blamed for eating something that I’ve thanked God for.
