They claimed to be wise, but they turned into fools.

But these people say insulting things even when they don’t know what they’re talking about. They’re like wild animals that can’t think and just live by instinct, that are born only to be caught and destroyed. These people will die like animals too.

then that person is proud and doesn’t understand anything. They like to argue more than they should, and they’ll always be fighting about what words mean. This results in jealousy, fighting, harmful talk, and bad suspicions.

Let me ask again: Does God give you his Spirit and work miracles among you because you do what the law says? Or is it because you believe what you’ve heard?

They’re always studying, but they’re never able to understand the truth.

I would like to learn just one thing from you: Did you receive the Holy Spirit by keeping the law, or by believing what you heard?

Tell me, you who want to be under the authority of the law: Don’t you know what the law says?

Don’t worry about the Pharisees. They’re blind guides. If one blind person leads another, they’ll both fall into a pit.”

Certain people came down from Judea to Antioch and started teaching the believers, “If you aren’t circumcised the way Moses commanded, you can’t be saved.”

So they answered Jesus, “We don’t know.” Jesus replied, “Then I won’t tell you by what authority I’m doing these things either.”

After three days they found him in the temple courtyard. He was sitting with the teachers, listening to them and asking them questions.

My brothers and sisters, most of you shouldn’t become teachers, because you know that those of us who do teach will be judged more strictly.
