We know that the same God who raised the Lord Jesus from the dead will also raise us up with Jesus and present both you and us to himself.

After all, what is our hope? What is our joy? What is the crown that we will delight in when our Lord Jesus returns? Isn’t it you?

“Yes, he does,” he replied. When Peter came into the house, Jesus spoke to him first. “What do you think, Simon?” he asked. “Who do the kings of the earth collect taxes and fees from? Do they collect them from their own children, or from others?”

and those who have died believing in Christ are lost.

But now I’m going to go back to bragging, even though there’s nothing to be gained by it. I’m going to talk about visions and revelations from the Lord.

Nobody gave it to me or taught it to me. Instead, Jesus Christ revealed it to me.

Brothers and sisters, we want you to know what happens to those who die. We don’t want you to mourn, as other people do because they don’t have any hope.

Jesus died for us so that we might live with him, whether we are still alive on this earth or whether we have already died.

Regarding the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and the time when we’ll go to be with him, we ask you, brothers and sisters,
