Don’t be afraid of those who kill the body but can’t kill the soul. Instead, be afraid of the one who can destroy both soul and body in hell.

That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, insults, hard times, attacks, and difficulties. For when I’m weak, that’s when I’m strong.

Blessed is the person who keeps going when times are difficult. After they’ve made it through these times, they’ll receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to give to those who love him.

You’ve been given the privilege, for the sake of Christ, not only of believing in him but also of suffering for him.

So don’t be afraid; you’re worth more than many sparrows.

I will show him how much he must suffer for me.”

As you know, we consider people blessed who don’t give up. You’ve heard that Job was patient, and you’ve seen what the Lord finally did for him. The Lord is full of compassion and mercy.
