This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son to give his life to purify us from our sins.

They told the woman, “At first we believed because of what you said. But now we’ve heard for ourselves, and we know that this man really is the Savior of the world.”

You study the Scriptures carefully because you think they will give you eternal life. The same Scriptures you study are also a witness about me.

The one that God has sent speaks God’s words, because God gives the Spirit without limit.

After Silas and Timothy arrived from Macedonia, Paul spent all his time preaching, showing the Jews that Jesus is the Messiah.

then what about the one the Father set apart as his very own and sent into the world? Why do you accuse me of doing wrong because I said, ‘I am God’s Son’?

He is a witness to what he has seen and heard, but no one accepts what he says.

Truly I tell you, we speak about what we know, and we’re witnesses about what we’ve seen. But you people still don’t accept our testimony.
