Dear friends, if we don’t feel guilty in our hearts, we can be confident when we pray,

And now, dear children, continue in him, so that when he appears, we can be confident and not ashamed to meet him when he comes.

So let’s approach God’s throne of grace confidently, because we’ll receive mercy there and find grace to help us in our time of need.

With God’s help, we’ve acted toward everyone, and especially toward you, honorably and honestly. We can say that with pride and a clear conscience. We’ve depended on God’s grace and not on the world’s wisdom.

When we pray to God, we can be confident of this: If we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.

This is how love is made complete among us so that we will have confidence on the day of judgment: In this world we are like Jesus.

So let’s draw near to God with a sincere heart and with the full assurance that faith brings. Our hearts have been sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience, and our bodies have been washed with pure water.

I don’t feel I have done anything wrong, but that doesn’t mean I’m not guilty. It’s the Lord who judges me.

So I want the men in every place to pray, lifting up holy hands without anger or arguing.

Whatever you believe about these things, keep between yourself and God. Blessed is the person who doesn’t feel guilty for what they do.

Through him and through faith in him we can approach God freely and confidently.

Dear friends, I’m not writing you a new command. Instead, I’m writing one that you’ve heard before. You’ve had it since the beginning.

Dear friends, now we are children of God. We don’t know yet what we will be. But we know that when Christ appears, we’ll be like him, because we’ll see him as he really is.

If we feel guilty in our hearts, we know that God is greater than our hearts, and he knows everything.
