We’ve heard from the beginning that we should love one another.
Here is my command: Love one another, just as I have loved you.
And now, dear lady, I’m not writing you a new command. I’m writing one we’ve had from the beginning. I’m asking that we love one another.
Dear friends, let us love one another, because love comes from God. Everyone who loves is a child of God and knows God.
Here’s the command God has given us: Anyone who loves God must also love their brother and sister.
Most of all, love one another deeply, because love covers over many sins.
Finally, I want all of you to agree with one another. Be understanding, love one another, be kind and tender, be humble.
and follow the path of love. That’s what Christ did. He loved us and gave himself up for us as a sweet-smelling offering and sacrifice to God.
Here’s the message that we’ve heard from him and are announcing to you: God is light, and there’s no darkness in him at all.
We don’t need to write to you about your love for one another, because God himself has taught you to love one another.
You’ve made yourselves pure by obeying the truth. Now, you have an honest and true love for each other. So love one another deeply from your hearts.
I’m commanding you to do this for the sake of love, which comes from a pure heart, a clear conscience, and sincere faith.
Carry one another’s heavy loads, and in that way, you’ll fulfill the law of Christ.
So he got up from the meal, took off his outer clothes, and wrapped a towel around his waist.
Dear friends, since God loved us that much, we should also love one another.
