I’m writing these things to warn you about people who are trying to lead you astray.

I say this because many people have gone out into the world to try to deceive others. They don’t agree that Jesus Christ came in the flesh. These people are like the great enemy of Christ.

1 John 3:7

False messiahs and false prophets will appear, and they’ll do signs and miracles. They’ll even try to trick God’s chosen people.

The Spirit clearly says that in later times some people will abandon the faith, follow deceptive spirits, and believe things that demons teach.

2 Timothy 3:13

while evil people and impostors will go from bad to worse. They’ll deceive others and others will deceive them.

Colossians 2:18

Some people pretend to be humble, and they worship angels. But don’t let people like that judge you. These people tell you in great detail about the visions they’ve seen, and they’re conceited because of all the ideas they have. But their ideas are really useless, because their minds aren’t guided by the Holy Spirit.
