Fathers, I’m writing to you because you know the one who is from the beginning. Young men, I’m writing to you because you’ve won the battle over the evil one.

If you really know me, you will know my Father also. From now on, you do know him and you’ve seen him.”

Dear children, I’m writing to you because you know the Father. Fathers, I’m writing to you because you know the one who is from the beginning. Young men, I’m writing to you because you’re strong. God’s word lives in you, and you’ve won the battle over the evil one.

But you, dear children, are from God, and you have defeated these enemies. That’s because the one who’s in you is greater than the one who’s in the world.

The Word of life was here from the beginning. We’ve heard him, we’ve seen him with our eyes, we’ve looked at him, and our hands have touched him. So we want to tell you about him.

“My Father has given all things to me. No one knows who the Son is except for the Father, and no one knows who the Father is except for the Son and anyone the Son chooses to make the Father known to.”

And this is eternal life: to know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, the one you’ve sent.

We know that anyone who is God’s child will not sin continually. The Son of God keeps them safe, and the evil one can’t harm them.

Don’t be like Cain, who belonged to the evil one and murdered his brother. And why did he murder him? Because the things he did were wrong, and the things his brother did were right.

“My Father has given everything to me. No one knows the Son except the Father. No one knows the Father except the Son—and anyone the Son chooses to show the Father to.

We also know that the Son of God has come and given us understanding so that we can know the God who is true. And we are in the true God by being in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life.

Dear children, I’m writing to you because your sins have been forgiven in Jesus’ name.

My dear children, I’m writing this to you so that you may not sin. But if anyone does sin, then we have a friend who speaks to the Father for us. He’s Jesus Christ, the Blameless One

In the same way, encourage the young men to control themselves.

God said, “Let light shine out of darkness.” And he made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light we needed to know God’s glory, which is shown in the face of Christ.

They’ll do things like that because they don’t know the Father and they don’t know me.

Jesus answered, “Don’t you know me, Philip, even after I’ve been with you for so long? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father. So how can you say, ‘Show us the Father’?

Then they asked him, “Where is your father?” “You don’t know me or my Father,” Jesus replied. “If you knew me, you would also know my Father.”

The field is the world, and the good seed stands for the people who belong to the kingdom. The weeds are the people who belong to the evil one,

When people hear the message about the kingdom, but they don’t understand it, the evil one comes and steals what was planted in their hearts. Those people are like the seed that landed on the path.

If you need to correct an older man, do it respectfully. Appeal to him as if he were your father. Treat younger men as if they were your brothers,

Father, I pray they will be one, just as you are in me and I am in you. I want them also to be in us so that the world will believe that you have sent me.

All you need to say is simply ‘yes’ or ‘no.’ Anything more than that comes from the evil one.

“I’ve told you these things so that you can have peace because of me. In this world you’re going to have trouble. But be encouraged! I’ve already defeated the world.”

‘Whoever has ears should listen to what the Spirit is saying to the churches. If anyone wins the victory, I’ll let them to eat from the tree of life that’s in God’s paradise.’

They won the victory over him by the blood of the Lamb and by speaking the truth about Jesus to others. They didn’t love their lives so much that they were afraid to die.
