It was just the opposite! They recognized that I had been trusted with the task of preaching the good news to the Gentiles, just as Peter had been trusted with preaching to the Jews.

The one who plants and the one who waters have the same goal, and the Lord will give each of them a reward for their work.

God appointed me to serve the church and bring the entire word of God to you.

So here’s how you should think of us. We’re servants of Christ who’ve been trusted with the mysteries God has shown us.

If someone welcomes a prophet because they’re a prophet, that person will receive a prophet’s reward. If someone welcomes a godly person because they’re godly, that person will receive a godly person’s reward.

No, we speak as people God has approved and entrusted with the good news. We’re not trying to please people; we’re trying to please God, who tests our hearts.

If what a person has built doesn’t burn up, God will give them a reward for their work.

But I didn’t want to do anything without your agreement. Any favor you do for me must be done because you want to do it, not because you have to. Maybe

Do you really want to give? Then your gift will be measured by what you have, not by what you don’t.

I’m not bragging about preaching the good news. I have to preach the good news—woe to me if I don’t!

The Lord answered, “Suppose a master gives one of his servants the job of giving the other servants their food at the right time, as a faithful and wise manager.

See, I’ve told you ahead of time.

Even now people are being hired to gather a crop for eternal life, so that the one who planted and the one who will gather can rejoice together.

So what reward do I get? Here’s my reward: being able to offer the good news free of charge, without claiming all my rights as a person who preaches the good news.
