Suppose someone is worried that he’s not acting honorably toward his fiancée. Suppose his desires are too strong, and he feels that he should marry her. He should do as he wants. That wouldn’t be a sin. They should get married.

The seed that fell among thorns stands for those who hear the message, but then, as they go on their way, are choked by life’s worries, riches, and pleasures, so they don’t reach full growth.

Finally, my brothers and sisters, whatever is noble, right, and pure, whatever is lovely and worthy of respect, if anything is excellent or worthy of praise, think about those things.

But since you can’t control yourselves, this is leading to sexual sin. So each man should sleep with his own wife and each woman should sleep with her own husband.

“Be careful, or your hearts will be loaded down with partying, drunkenness, and the worries of life. Then the day when the Son of Man returns will close on you suddenly like a trap.

Others won’t get married, either because they were born unable to have children or because other people made them that way. Still others will choose not to get married so they can serve the kingdom of heaven single. But anyone who can grasp the saying should accept it.”

In the same way, teach the older women to live in a way that shows respect for God. They must not tell lies about others, and they must not become heavy drinkers. Instead, they must teach what is good.

There shouldn’t be even a hint of any sexual sin among you, or of anything impure or greedy, because those are not the kinds of things that God’s holy people should do.

But if you do marry someone, you haven’t sinned. And if a woman marries her fiancé, she hasn’t sinned. But those who do marry will have many troubles in this life, and I want to spare you from those.

for those who commit sexual sins and homosexual acts. It’s for people who buy and sell slaves, who lie, and who give false witness in court. And it’s for anything else that goes against the true teaching
