Come back to your senses and stop sinning. Some of you don’t know anything about God. You should be ashamed of that!

I’m not writing this to make you ashamed, but to warn you as my dear children.

If any of you needs wisdom, you should ask God for it, and he’ll give it to you. God gives freely to everyone and doesn’t tell them they shouldn’t have asked.

Doesn’t the very nature of things teach you that if a man has long hair, that’s disgraceful to him,

We’re fools for Christ, but you’re so wise in Christ! We’re weak, but you’re so strong! You are honored, but we’re looked down on!

Don’t fool yourselves. If any of you think you’re wise by the standards of the world, you should become “fools” so that you can become truly wise.

In those days there were about 120 believers. Peter stood up among them to speak.

“Lord,” Ananias answered, “I’ve heard many reports about this man. They say he’s done great harm to your holy people in Jerusalem.

When one of you is in a dispute with another believer, how dare you take them to court to be judged by ungodly people! Why don’t you ask the Lord’s people to help you settle it?

So if you’re in a dispute with someone, should you ask people that the church doesn’t even respect to settle it? Of course not!
