They refreshed my spirit, and yours also. People like them are worthy of honor.

Your love has given me great joy and encouragement, because you, my brother, have refreshed the hearts of the Lord’s people.

All of this is very encouraging. We were also very glad to see how happy Titus was. You have all refreshed his spirit.

Now we ask you, brothers and sisters, to recognize the godly leaders who work hard among you, who care for you in the Lord and correct you.

I’m sending him to you specifically because I want you to know what’s happening here, and I want him to encourage you and strengthen your hearts.

That way, I’ll be full of joy when come to you, if that’s God’s will, and we’ll have a refreshing time together.

Nothing makes me happier than to hear that my children are walking in the truth.

I wish, my brother, to receive some benefit from you in the Lord. So please refresh my heart in Christ.

Remember your leaders, who spoke God’s word to you. Think about the outcome of their way of life and imitate their faith.
