Radiate New Testament

That will happen in a flash, as quickly as you can blink an eye. It will happen at the blast of the last trumpet. Then the dead will be raised to live forever, and we will be changed.

He will send out his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his chosen people from the north, south, east, and west—from one end of the sky to the other.

Truly I tell you, a time is coming—and in fact, it has already come—when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God, and those who hear it will live.

“Don’t be amazed at this. You’ll see I’m telling the truth when all who are in their graves will hear his voice

But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar, the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything done in it will be seen for what they really are.

It will be like that with bodies that are raised from the dead. The body that is planted doesn’t last forever; the body that is raised from the dead does.

As I watched, I heard an eagle that was flying high in the air call out in a loud voice, “Woe! Woe! Woe to those living on the earth when the next three angels blow their trumpets!”

Brothers and sisters, here’s what I’m telling you. Bodies made of flesh and blood can’t inherit the kingdom of God. Things that perish can’t share in what never perishes.

Then I saw seven trumpets being given to the seven angels who stand in front of God.

But this will happen in a particular order. Christ is the first of those who rise from the dead. When he comes back, those who belong to him will be raised.

Following what the Lord himself has said, we tell you that at the Lord’s royal arrival, we who are still alive will not precede those who have died.
