When you plant something, you don’t put a completely grown plant into the ground. You plant only a seed, maybe of wheat or something else.
How foolish! What you plant doesn’t come to life unless it dies.
But God gives the seed a body just as he has planned, and to each kind of seed he gives its own body.
Night and day, whether he sleeps or gets up, the seed sprouts and grows. The farmer doesn’t know how that happens.
But thanks be to God, who always leads us as if we were prisoners in Christ’s victory parade. He uses us to spread the knowledge of Christ everywhere like perfume.
