If a woman doesn’t cover her head, she might as well have her hair cut off. But if it’s a disgrace for her to have her hair cut off or her head shaved, then she should cover her head.

Paul stayed in Corinth for some time after that. When he left the brothers and sisters and sailed for Syria, Priscilla and Aquila went with him. Before he sailed, he had his hair cut off at Cenchreae, the harbor that served Corinth. He did this because he’d made a vow to God.

But every woman who prays or prophesies with her head uncovered dishonors her head. It’s the same as having her head shaved.

A man shouldn’t cover his head, since he’s the likeness and glory of God. But woman is the glory of man.
