I of the Lord my God will say, He is my refuge still, He is my fortress, and my God, and in him trust I will.
My fortress is the Lord, My rock, and he that doth to me deliverance afford: My God, my strength, whom I will trust, a buckler unto me, The horn of my salvation, and my high tow'r, is he.
I cry'd to thee; I said, Thou art my refuge, Lord, alone; And in the land of those that live thou art my portion.
God is our refuge and our strength, in straits a present aid;
Be thou my dwelling-rock, to which I ever may resort: Thou gav'st commandment me to save, for thou'rt my rock and fort.
You shame the counsel of the poor, because God is his trust.
Because the Lord, who constantly my refuge is alone, Ev'n the most High, is made by thee thy habitation;
For this God doth abide Our God for evermore; he will ev'n unto death us guide.
Then will I to God's altar go, to God my chiefest joy: Yea, God, my God, thy name to praise my harp I will employ.
Upon the Lord, who worthy is of praises, will I cry; And then shall I preserved be safe from mine enemy.
O Lord, I trust in thee: My God, let me not be asham'd, nor foes triumph o'er me.
My times are wholly in thine hand: do thou deliver me From their hands that mine enemies and persecutors be.
Therefore, although the earth remove, we will not be afraid: Though hills amidst the seas be cast;
For thou the vows that I did make, O Lord my God, didst hear: Thou hast giv'n me the heritage of those thy name that fear.
Because I am brought very low, attend unto my cry: Me from my persecutors save, who stronger are than I.
