Arise, Lord, let not man prevail; judge heathen in thy sight:

Arise, O Lord; save me, my God; for thou my foes hast stroke All on the cheek-bone, and the teeth of wicked men hast broke.

Rise for our help, and us redeem, ev'n for thy mercies' sake.

Rise, Lord, cast us not ever off; awake, why dost thou sleep?

O Lord, do thou arise; O God, lift up thine hand on high: Put not the meek afflicted ones out of thy memory.

Rise in thy wrath, Lord, raise thyself, for my foes raging be; And, to the judgment which thou hast commanded, wake for me.

To execute the vengeance due upon the heathen all, And make deserved punishment upon the people fall.

On heathen pour thy fury forth, that have thee never known, And on those kingdoms which thy name have never call'd upon.

In Ephraim's, and Benjamin's and in Manasseh's sight, O come for our salvation; stir up thy strength and might.
