For God the Lord's a sun and shield: he'll grace and glory give; And will withhold no good from them that uprightly do live.
Yea, what is good the Lord shall give; our land shall yield increase:
Yet thou my shield and glory art, th' uplifter of mine head.
The Lord's my light and saving health, who shall make me dismay'd? My life's strength is the Lord, of whom then shall I be afraid?
The man that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, And as he thinketh in his heart, so doth he truth express.
My shield and hiding-place thou art: I on thy word rely.
See God our shield, look on the face of thine anointed dear.
The princes of the people are assembled willingly; Ev'n of the God of Abraham they who the people be. For why? the shields that do defend the earth are only his: They to the Lord belong; yea, he exalted greatly is.
