O let the pris'ner's sighs ascend before thy sight on high; Preserve those in thy mighty pow'r that are design'd to die.
That of the mournful prisoner the groanings he might hear, To set them free that unto death by men appointed are:
For God the poor hears, and will not his prisoners contemn.
For poor oppress'd, and for the sighs of needy, rise will I, Saith God, and him in safety set from such as him defy.
That they in Sion may declare the Lord's most holy name, And publish in Jerusalem the praises of the same;
