And let me, in thy righteousness, from thee deliv'rance have; Cause me escape, incline thine ear unto me, and me save.

Judge me, O God, and plead my cause against th' ungodly nation; From the unjust and crafty man, O be thou my salvation.
God's eyes are on the just; his ears are open to their cry.
And from before thy presence forth my sentence do thou send: Toward these things that equal are do thou thine eyes intend.
Bow down thine ear to me, with speed send me deliverance: To save me, my strong rock be thou, and my house of defence.
