He ruleth ever by his pow'r; his eyes the nations see: O let not the rebellious ones lift up themselves on high.

God in his holy temple is, in heaven is his throne: His eyes do see, his eye-lids try

Unto the wicked man, O Lord, his wishes do not grant; Nor further thou his ill device, lest they themselves should vaunt.

The Lord from heav'n sees and beholds all sons of men full well:

God hath it spoken once to me, yea, this I heard again, That power to Almighty God alone doth appertain.

Thy kingdom shall for ever stand, thy reign through ages all.

with stubborn neck. But know, That not from east, nor west, nor south, promotion doth flow.
