Lord, hear my pray'r, hide not thyself from my entreating voice:
Hear, Lord, my pray'r; unto the voice of my request attend:
O God, give ear unto my cry; unto my pray'r attend.
Far from me hide not thou thy face; put not away from thee Thy servant in thy wrath: thou hast an helper been to me. O God of my salvation, leave me not, nor forsake:
Hear, Isr'el's Shepherd! like a flock thou that dost Joseph guide; Shine forth, O thou that dost between the cherubims abide.
When I to thee my prayer make, Lord, to my voice give ear; My life save from the enemy, of whom I stand in fear.
Lord God of hosts, my prayer hear; O Jacob's God, give ear.
O Lord of hosts, almighty God, how long shall kindled be Thy wrath against the prayer made by thine own folk to thee?
Give ear unto my words, O Lord, my meditation weigh.
Haste, Lord, to hear, my spirit fails: hide not thy face from me; Lest like to them I do become that go down to the dust.
To thee I'll cry, O Lord, my rock; hold not thy peace to me; Lest like those that to pit descend I by thy silence be.
Lord, hear the right, attend my cry, unto my pray'r give heed, That doth not in hypocrisy from feigned lips proceed.
Lord, in thy wrath rebuke me not; Nor in thy hot rage chasten me.
