Great is the Lord, and greatly he is to be praised still, Within the city of our God, upon his holy hill.

For great's the Lord, and greatly he is to be magnify'd; Yea, worthy to be fear'd is he above all gods beside.

A river is, whose streams do glad the city of our God; The holy place, wherein the Lord most high hath his abode.

Great is the Lord, much to be prais'd; his greatness search exceeds.

Things glorious are said of thee, thou city of the Lord.

God is our refuge and our strength, in straits a present aid;

Yet, notwithstanding, I have him to be my King appointed; And over Sion, my holy hill, I have him King anointed.

Great is our Lord, and of great pow'r; his wisdom search can none.

Lord, I will thee extol, for thou hast lifted me on high, And over me thou to rejoice mad'st not mine enemy.

Like as the hart for water-brooks in thirst doth pant and bray; So pants my longing soul, O God, that come to thee I may.
