The Lord doth reign, and cloth'd is he with majesty most bright; His works do shew him cloth'd to be, and girt about with might. The world is also stablished, that it cannot depart.

Justice and judgment of thy throne are made the dwelling-place; Mercy, accompany'd with truth, shall go before thy face.

For thou maintain'dst my right and cause; on throne sat'st judging right.

He shall among the heathen judge, he shall with bodies dead The places fill: o'er many lands he wound shall ev'ry head.

Th' eternal Lord doth reign as king, let all the people quake; He sits between the cherubims, let th' earth be mov'd and shake.

God reigneth, let the earth be glad, and isles rejoice each one.

Among the heathen say, God reigns; the world shall stedfastly Be fix'd from moving; he shall judge the people righteously.

Shall of iniquity the throne have fellowship with thee, Which mischief, cunningly contriv'd, doth by a law decree?

Great is the Lord, and greatly he is to be praised still, Within the city of our God, upon his holy hill.
