For sinners' arms shall broken be; but God the just sustains.
My soul thee follows hard; and me thy right hand doth sustain.
God's eyes are on the just; his ears are open to their cry.
Let uprightness and truth keep me, who thee attend.
When I had uttered this word, (my foot doth slip away,) Thy mercy held me up, O Lord, thy goodness did me stay.
But as for me, I thine own face in righteousness will see; And with thy likeness, when I wake, I satisfy'd shall be.
Thou wilt me shew the path of life: of joys there is full store Before thy face; at thy right hand are pleasures evermore.
O thou who art the Lord my God, I in distress to thee, With loud cries lifted up my voice, and thou hast healed me.
