And all my bones shall say, O Lord, who is like unto thee, Which dost the poor set free from him that is for him too strong; The poor and needy from the man that spoils and does him wrong?

I know God will th' afflicted's cause maintain, and poor men's right.

For he shall stand at his right hand who is in poverty, To save him from all those that would condemn his soul to die.

For God the poor hears, and will not his prisoners contemn.

The wicked have drawn out the sword, and bent their bow, to slay The poor and needy, and to kill men of an upright way.

This poor man cry'd, God heard, and sav'd him from all his distresses.

For he despis'd not nor abhorr'd th' afflicted's misery; Nor from him hid his face, but heard when he to him did cry.

Create a clean heart, Lord, renew a right sp'rit me within.

God righteous judgment executes for all oppressed ones.

Surely the just shall praise thy name; th' upright dwell in thy sight.

Who righteous judgment executes for those oppress'd that be, Who to the hungry giveth food; God sets the pris'ners free.
