Mine hands in innocence, O Lord, I'll wash and purify; So to thine holy altar go, and compass it will I:
I verily have done in vain my heart to purify; To no effect in innocence washed my hands have I.
Then will I to God's altar go, to God my chiefest joy: Yea, God, my God, thy name to praise my harp I will employ.
Whose hands are clean, whose heart is pure, and unto vanity Who hath not lifted up his soul, nor sworn deceitfully.
