O Lord, I trust in thee: My God, let me not be asham'd, nor foes triumph o'er me.
By this I know that certainly I favour'd am by thee; Because my hateful enemy triumphs not over me.
O Lord, my hope and confidence is plac'd in thee alone; Then let thy servant never be put to confusion.
When unto thee they sent their cry, to them deliv'rance came: Because they put their trust in thee, they were not put to shame.
Because I am brought very low, attend unto my cry: Me from my persecutors save, who stronger are than I.
In thee, O Lord, I put my trust, sham'd let me never be; According to thy righteousness do thou deliver me.
O taste and see that God is good: who trusts in him is bless'd.
How long, O mighty God, shall they who lewd and wicked be, How long shall they who wicked are thus triumph haughtily?
The Lord shall help, and them deliver: he shall them free and save From wicked men; because in him their confidence they have.
My fortress is the Lord, My rock, and he that doth to me deliverance afford: My God, my strength, whom I will trust, a buckler unto me, The horn of my salvation, and my high tow'r, is he.
O Lord my God, in thee do I my confidence repose: Save and deliver me from all my persecuting foes;
This man did trust in God, that he would free him by his might: Let him deliver him, sith he had in him such delight.
My God, my God, why hast thou me forsaken? why so far Art thou from helping me, and from my words that roaring are?
Shew mercy, Lord, to me, for man would swallow me outright; He me oppresseth, while he doth against me daily fight.
But I have all my confidence thy mercy set upon; My heart within me shall rejoice in thy salvation.
Bow down thine ear to me, with speed send me deliverance: To save me, my strong rock be thou, and my house of defence.
My times are wholly in thine hand: do thou deliver me From their hands that mine enemies and persecutors be.
I of the Lord my God will say, He is my refuge still, He is my fortress, and my God, and in him trust I will.
