Goodness and mercy all my life shall surely follow me: And in God's house for evermore my dwelling-place shall be.
One thing I of the Lord desir'd, and will seek to obtain, That all days of my life I may within God's house remain; That I the beauty of the Lord behold may and admire, And that I in his holy place may rev'rently enquire.
Thou wilt me shew the path of life: of joys there is full store Before thy face; at thy right hand are pleasures evermore.
But unto them that do him fear God's mercy never ends; And to their children's children still his righteousness extends:
But as for me, I thine own face in righteousness will see; And with thy likeness, when I wake, I satisfy'd shall be.
When he desired life of thee, thou life to him didst give; Ev'n such a length of days, that he for evermore should live.
