The Lord's my shepherd, I'll not want.
For God the Lord's a sun and shield: he'll grace and glory give; And will withhold no good from them that uprightly do live.
But his own people, like to sheep, thence to go forth he made; And he, amidst the wilderness, them, as a flock, did lead.
So we thy folk, and pasture-sheep, shall give thee thanks always; And unto generations all we will shew forth thy praise.
O children, hither do ye come, and unto me give ear; I shall you teach to understand how ye the Lord should fear.
