From secret faults. Thy servant keep from all presumptuous sin: And do not suffer them to have dominion over me: Then, righteous and innocent, I from much sin shall be.
O let my footsteps in thy word aright still order'd be: Let no iniquity obtain dominion over me.
In God, who saves th' upright in heart, is my defence and stay.
For God the Lord's a sun and shield: he'll grace and glory give; And will withhold no good from them that uprightly do live.
Sincere before him was my heart; with him upright was I; And watchfully I kept myself from mine iniquity.
Because the Lord most righteous doth in righteousness delight; And with a pleasant countenance beholdeth the upright.
