Our sins thou and iniquities dost in thy presence place, And sett'st our secret faults before the brightness of thy face.

For ills past reck'ning compass me, and mine iniquities Such hold upon me taken have, I cannot lift mine eyes: They more than hairs are on mine head, thence is my heart dismay'd.

Such knowledge is too strange for me, too high to understand.

Thou know'st my sitting down, And rising up; yea, all my thoughts afar to thee are known.

Me cleanse from sin, and throughly wash from mine iniquity:

Iniquities, I must confess, prevail against me do: But as for our transgressions, them purge away shalt thou.
