To God thus was my speech, Thou art my Lord; and unto thee my goodness doth not reach:
Whom have I in the heavens high but thee, O Lord, alone? And in the earth whom I desire besides thee there is none.
I of the Lord my God will say, He is my refuge still, He is my fortress, and my God, and in him trust I will.
Thou art my Father, he shall cry, thou art my God alone; And he shall say, Thou art the Rock of my salvation.
But as for me, O Lord, my trust upon thee I did lay; And I to thee, Thou art my God, did confidently say.
When thou didst say, Seek ye my face, then unto thee reply Thus did my heart, Above all things thy face, Lord, seek will I.
How excellent in all the earth, Lord, our Lord, is thy name! Who hast thy glory far advanc'd above the starry frame.
